Hadith 2753

حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَوَلَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "يَكْفِي أَحَدَكُمْ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا خَادِمٌ وَمَرْكَبٌ".
Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For any one of you, a servant and a riding animal are sufficient in this world."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2752)
That is, if the provision of the world consists of a servant and a riding animal, then that is sufficient; a person should not trouble himself for more than this.
In [ترمذي شريف 1781], it is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha that for you, the provision equal to that of a traveler is sufficient... etc.
