باب مَنْ هَابَ الْفُتْيَا مَخَافَةَ السَّقَطِ:Chapter: Those Who Feared Giving Fatwa Out of Fear of Mistakes
Hadith 275
أَخْبَرَنَا أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، إِذَا حَدَّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "هَذَا أَوْ نَحْوَهُ، أَوْ شِبْهَهُ، أَوْ شَكْلَهُ".
Ismail bin Ubaidullah said: Whenever Sayyiduna Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he would say: «قال كذا أو نحوه أو شبهه أو شكله» (that is, the Messenger of Allah [peace and blessings be upon him] said something like this, similar to this, or in this meaning).
