Hadith 2742

Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are two blessings among the blessings of Allah, which most people do not appreciate: health and free time."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2741)

Good health and free time are, in reality, great blessings from Allah Ta’ala, and one should consider them as valuable opportunities and use them correctly.
It should not happen that illness overtakes a person or his preoccupations increase, and then he becomes heedless of the remembrance of Allah and becomes negligent in fulfilling obligatory duties.
It is mentioned in the hadith: «اغْتَنِمْ خَمْسًا قَبْلَ خَمْسٍ» and among them it is stated that «صِحَّتَكَ قَبْلَ مَرَضِكَ وَفَرَاغَكَ قَبْلَ شُغُلِكَ»—that is, a person should consider his good health before sickness, and his free time before becoming busy, as opportunities and act accordingly, so that he does not have to regret later.
Ghalib said:
Even if there is poverty, O Ghalib... good health is a thousand blessings.
And Allama Hali said:
Do not sit idle in the world for even a moment of leisure
If you desire more leisure
To become greater than the angels is to become human
But for this, much effort is required.
