باب مَا يَقُولُ إِذَا انْتَبَهَ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ:Chapter: What to say when waking up
Hadith 2721
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ . قَالَ: "الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا، وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ".
Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would wake up from sleep, he would supplicate: «اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذِيْ أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُوْرٌ» . All praise is for Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and to Him is the return.
