أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، وَعَفَّانُ , قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلانَ، عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ خَوْلَةَ بِنْتِ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: "لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ مَنْزِلًا، قَالَ: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ، لَمْ يَضُرَّهُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْمَنْزِلِ شَيْءٌ حَتَّى يَرْتَحِلَ مِنْهُ".
Sayyidah Khawlah bint Hakim (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When anyone stops at a place (during a journey) and says «أَعُوْذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللّٰهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ», then nothing from that place will harm him until he departs from it."
Translation of the supplication: I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
