Hadith 2711

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The angels do not accompany those travelers who have a dog or a bell with them."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 2709 to 2711)

In this hadith as well, what is meant by the angels not coming near is the angels of mercy, who stay away from singing, musical instruments, bells, and other things of amusement and play.

It has already been mentioned previously that in any house where there is a dog or a picture, the angels of mercy do not enter that house either.
