باب الْعَمَلِ بِالْعِلْمِ وَحُسْنِ النِّيَّةِ فِيهِ:Chapter: Acting Upon Knowledge and Sincerity in It
Hadith 271
أَخْبَرَنَا وقَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: "إِنِّي لَأُجَزِّئُ اللَّيْلَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَجْزَاءٍ: فَثُلُثٌ أَنَامُ، وَثُلُثٌ أَقُومُ، وَثُلُثٌ أَتَذَكَّرُ أَحَادِيثَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I divide the night into three parts: I sleep for one third, I stand in prayer for one third, and I memorize the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) for one third.
