Islamic Shari'ah has taught mercy even towards animals, and there are numerous hadiths narrated on this subject, among which is the aforementioned narration in which it is commanded that one should not sit on an animal for long periods like an inanimate chair, at any time.
There is a narration: « أركبوها غير مقروحة».
In Musnad Ahmad, the detailed narration is as follows: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) saw people riding camels in the marketplace who were engaged in idle talk, so he (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: «إِرْكَبُوْهَا ، سَالِمَةًوَدَعُوْهَاسَالِمَةًوَلَاتَتَّخِذُوْهَاكَرَاسِيِّ.» see [مسند أحمد 439/2 ، 15714 ، 15735].
