باب في تَسْلِيمِ الرَّاكِبِ عَلَى الْمَاشِي:Chapter: The rider greets the walker
Hadith 2670
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَيْوَةُ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو هَانِئٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ: أَنَّ أَبَا عَلِيٍّ الْجَنْبِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ , عَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "يُسَلِّمُ الرَّاكِبُ عَلَى الْمَاشِي، وَالْقَائِمُ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِ، وَالْقَلِيلُ عَلَى الْكَثِيرِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadala bin Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The rider should greet the one who is walking, and the one who is standing should greet the one who is sitting, and a small group should greet a larger group."
