Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Delaying the repayment of a debt by a wealthy person is injustice, and if any of you is referred to a wealthy person for the repayment of his debt, he should accept it."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2621)
The meaning is that if a wealthy person assumes someone else's debt upon himself, then to procrastinate in paying it off would be an act of injustice; he should pay it immediately. Likewise, the one to whom the debt has been referred should also accept it and collect his debt from this wealthy person, and he should not refuse the referral. Otherwise, he himself will incur loss in this matter.
