Muhajir bin Habib said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said that Allah the Exalted said: "I do not accept the speech of every wise person, rather I accept his intention and desire. If his intention and desire are in obedience to Me, then I make even his silence into praise, glorification, and dignity, even if he remains silent."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 257)
Although the chain of narration of this report is weak, the meaning of the first line is correct, as is stated in the noble verse: «﴿لَنْيَنَالَاللّٰهَلُحُومُهَاوَلَادِمَاؤُهَاوَلَكِنْيَنَالُهُالتَّقْوَىمِنْكُمْ﴾ [الحج: 37]» (Translation: "Neither their meat nor their blood reaches Allah, but what reaches Him is your piety of heart.") Likewise, it is mentioned in an authentic hadith: «إِنَّاللّٰهَلَايَنْظُرُإِلَىصُوَرِكُمْوَلَاإِلَىأَجْسَامِكُمْ،وَلَكِنْيَنْظُرُإِلَىقُلُوبِكُمْ،وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ» (Translation: "Indeed, Allah does not look at your appearances nor at your bodies. Rather, He looks at your hearts and your deeds." [مسلم: 2564], [ابن ماجه 4143]) As for the last line, "I make his silence praise and dignity," its attribution as a marfu‘ (directly from the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is questionable.
