Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best is that a person eats from what he earns with his own hand, and a person's children are his best earnings." (In Ibn Majah it is stated: So eat from their wealth.)

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2572)
From this hadith, it is understood that a father can dispose of his son's wealth according to necessity. Even if the parents squander the son's wealth, it is still obligatory upon the son not to confront his parents, nor to speak harshly to them.
He should remember the time when his parents raised him with love, cleaned his urine and feces, fed and nourished him, provided him with education and upbringing.
All these favors are such that even if the son's skin were to be used in the service of his parents, their favors could not be repaid. And he should understand that his salvation depends solely on the pleasure of his parents.
If the parents become displeased, both this world and the Hereafter will be ruined. Experience has shown that those sons who kept their parents pleased attained great blessings and lived their lives in peace, while those who mistreated their parents always lived in distress and anguish in this world.
If the parents squander the son's money, he should be extremely happy, thinking, "Where was I destined for such fortune that my wealth would be of use to my parents?" Or, "Let the wealth be spent in its proper place." And he should say to his parents, "What is money? Even my body and my life belong to you. If you wish, you may even sell me in the marketplace. I am your servant." This is true good fortune, the path to salvation, and the way to success and prosperity.
