Hadith 2566

Sayyiduna Sa’d and Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever claims lineage to anyone other than his father, Paradise is forbidden for him.” (That is, whoever attributes himself to someone other than his father will not enter Paradise.)

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 2564 to 2566)

To abandon one’s real father and attribute oneself to another individual, making him one’s father, is an extremely heinous act, and it is a very grave sin. Paradise is forbidden for such a person, and upon him is the curse of Allah and the angels, and none of his deeds will be accepted by Allah.
