Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of oppression, for oppression will be many darknesses and shadows on the Day of Resurrection."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2551)

In this hadith, there is a command to avoid oppression (zulm), and a warning has been given that whoever commits oppression in this world will wander in many darknesses on the Day of Resurrection. This oppression includes all its types, whether it is oppression against life, wealth, someone's honor and dignity, the rights of Allah, or the rights of the servants (rights of people); every kind of oppression is included and is forbidden (haram).

(Mubarakpuri rahimahullah).
