It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), who searched for water and then came back and informed that no water was found. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is there any water-skin?" They brought a water-skin to him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) placed his blessed hand on it, and a spring gushed forth from beneath the fingers of his hand. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) began to drink from it, and the other companions began to perform ablution.
