باب فَضْلِ الْخَيْلِ في سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ:Chapter: Virtue of Horses in Allah’s Path
Hadith 2464

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي السَّفَرِ , عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ فِي نَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ: الْأَجْرُ وَالْمَغْنَمُ".
With this chain as well, it is narrated similarly as before. The translation of the narration has already been mentioned above.
Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadiths 2459 to 2464)
Maulana Dawood Raz rahimahullah writes in his Sharh Bukhari that Imam Bukhari rahimahullah intends to convey that the hadith regarding goodness and blessing in horses is due to their being instruments of jihad, and since goodness will remain in them until the Day of Judgment, it follows from this that the command of jihad will also remain until the Day of Judgment. And since every era until the Day of Judgment will have both good and bad, it means that the Muslim rulers will sometimes be fully adherent to Islamic Shariah and sometimes not, but the series of jihad will never cease, because it is a means of exalting the word of Allah and of honor in this world and the Hereafter. Therefore, in view of Islamic interests, jihad will continue even under the leadership of oppressive rulers.

«والإسلام يعلو ولا يعلى عليه» Islam, despite the gathering of all the forces of disbelief and polytheism, will, by Allah’s permission, always remain exalted, the manifestation of which we are witnessing with our own eyes today.
