أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الرَّقَاشِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاق، حَدَّثَنِي عَمِّي مُوسَى بْنُ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مَا مِنْ مَجْرُوحٍ يُجْرَحُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، إِلَّا بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَجُرْحُهُ يَدْمَى: الرِّيحُ رِيحُ الْمِسْكِ وَاللَّوْنُ لَوْنُ الدَّمِ".
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever is wounded in the way of Allah, Allah Almighty will raise him on the Day of Resurrection with his wound bleeding; its fragrance will be like that of musk and its color will be like the color of blood."
Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2442)
From this hadith, the virtue of martyrdom is established, that the blood of the martyr will emit the fragrance of musk, even though to the eye it will appear as actual blood.
«(أسال اللّٰه القدير أن يرزقني الشهادة وإياكم).»
