It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Hazm (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a letter to the people of Yemen, in which it was written: "In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. This letter is from Muhammad, the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), to Shurahbil bin Abd Kulal, Harith bin Abd Kulal, Na’eem bin Abd Kulal, Qil Dhi Ra’een, Ma’afir, and Hamdan, that the blood money for killing a soul is one hundred camels."
