It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man from Banu Amir came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Shall I show you a sign?" He said, "Show me." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Go and call that date-palm tree." So the man went and called the tree, and the tree came hopping towards him. The man said, "Tell it to go back." The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Go back." So the tree returned to its place. Then the man from Banu Amir said, "O Banu Amir, I have never seen a greater magician than him till today."
❀ The miracle of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) is that trees listen to him and obey his command. The obstinacy of the disbelievers and polytheists is such that instead of accepting obedience and truthfulness, they consider the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to be a sorcerer.
´Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:` "A Bedouin came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and said: 'How shall I know that you are a Prophet?' He said: 'If I were to call this date cluster from this palm tree, would you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah?' So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) called it and they started to fall from the tree, until they fell towards the Prophet (ﷺ), then he said: 'Go back,' and it went back. So the Bedouin accepted Islam."

Commentary: Note: (However, the phrase (fa-aslama al-a‘rabi) is not established. In the chain, "Muhammad ibn Isma‘il" refers to Imam Bukhari. And "Muhammad ibn Sa‘id ibn Sulayman al-Kufi Abu Ja‘far" is trustworthy (thiqah). But "Sharik ibn ‘Abdullah al-Qadi" is weak (da‘if). Based on supporting evidences (shawahid), the hadith is authentic (sahih). The sentence "fa-aslama al-a‘rabi," meaning "the Bedouin became Muslim," is weak due to the absence of a supporting narration (shahid). Al-Sahihah: 3315)
