Abu al-Sanabil (Ibn Ba'lak, may Allah be pleased with him) said: Lady Subai'ah bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth more than twenty nights after the death of her husband, and when she became pure from postpartum bleeding, she adorned herself, that is, prepared herself for marriage. She was criticized for this, so she mentioned it to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he said: "She may marry, and her waiting period has been completed."
