Hadith 2293

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her, and at that time a man was sitting with her. The blessed face of the Prophet changed, and signs of displeasure appeared on his blessed countenance. She said: "This is my milk-brother." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Investigate carefully who your (foster) brothers are. Suckling is only considered valid when the milk is drunk at the time of hunger."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2292)
That is, only when milk is the child’s nourishment will suckling (rada‘ah) be established. And in other ahadith it is mentioned that through this milk, flesh is produced and bones are strengthened. The meaning is that only the milk which becomes part of the body and causes the growth of flesh and bones will establish the prohibition and relationship of suckling (rada‘ah). And this period is from the birth of the child up to two years.
From this hadith, it is understood that if an adult drinks the milk of a woman, suckling (rada‘ah) will not be established through it, nor will the one who drank the milk become the woman’s foster son, nor will he become the foster brother of her sons and daughters.
This is the position of the majority of the noble scholars.
