أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ: أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ سورة النساء آية 59، قَالَ: "أُولُو الْعِلْمِ وَالْفِقْهِ، وَطَاعَةُ الرَّسُولِ: اتِّبَاعُ الْكِتَابِ وَالسُّنَّةِ".
Ata bin Abi Rabah, may Allah have mercy on him, said in the explanation of the verse «﴿أَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَأُولِي الْأَمْرِ مِنْكُمْ ....﴾» [النسا: 59/4] that «اولي الامر» are the people of knowledge and understanding, and «طاعة الرسول» is following the Book and the Sunnah.
