Hadith Gradingتحقیق (حسین سلیم أسد الدارانی):رجاله ثقات غير أن محمد بن إسحاق قد عنعن ولكن الحديث متفق عليه، [مكتبه الشامله نمبر: 2255]
If one marries a woman who has previously been married (thayyib), it is prescribed and was the practice of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) to stay with her continuously for three days. If one marries a virgin girl (bikr), then in the presence of other wives, it is prescribed to stay with her continuously for seven days. This is because a new wife, especially a virgin girl, initially feels apprehensive; by staying with her for these days, her apprehension will be removed and affection and intimacy will increase. After this period, he should stay with all wives in turn, so that it is not contrary to justice.
