باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ خِطْبَةِ الرَّجُلِ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ:Chapter: Prohibition of Proposing Over Another’s Proposal
Hadith 2212
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ أَنْ يَخْطُبَ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a man give a marriage proposal over the proposal of his brother.
