Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "While I was sleeping, a bowl of milk was brought to me. I drank from it abundantly until I saw freshness and satiation coming out from my fingernails. Then I gave the remaining milk to (Sayyiduna) Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)." The Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) asked: What interpretation did you give to it? He replied: "Knowledge is its interpretation."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 2189 to 2191)
From this hadith, the virtue of Sayyiduna Umar radi Allahu anhu is established, whom the Noble Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam honored with the knowledge of prophethood in every state, whether in the world of dreams or wakefulness. It is understood that seeing and drinking milk in a dream is a source of blessing; by the permission of Allah, the one who sees it will be granted knowledge, wisdom, and insight.
