Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2182)
Sahar is the last sixth part of the night which occurs before true dawn (subh-e-sadiq), and this is the time of the descent of the Exalted Lord, the descent of mercy and blessings, and of worship and supplication.
At this time, Allah Ta'ala accepts the supplications of His righteous and pious servants; there is such an effect in this time that even those who are sleeping benefit from it, and their dreams turn out to be true.
