Hadith 2151

Sayyiduna Wa'il bin Hujr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not call grapes 'Karam', rather call them 'Inab' or 'Habla'."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2150)

The people of Arabia used to call grapes and wine made from grapes "karm." The meanings of "karm" are greatness, honor, and kindness. They believed that by drinking wine made from grapes, a person would also acquire "karm." When wine was prohibited, the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam forbade changing the name of grapes, with the consideration that this name should not remind one of wine, and secondly, that wine should not be honored. In the authentic narration of Sahih Muslim, it is stated that "karm" is actually the heart of the believer. (Wahidi).
