Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say that the very first thing that will be overturned... The narrator Zaid bin Yahya said: It is Islam, just as a vessel is turned upside down. What is meant is wine (i.e., people will start drinking it again). It was asked: How will this happen, O Messenger of Allah, when Allah the Exalted has made its ruling absolutely clear? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "They will give it other names and in this way, they will make wine lawful."

Brief Explanation
(The Explanation of Hadith 2136)
The truthful, trustworthy, noble Messenger Muhammad bin Abdullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam spoke the truth, and this prophecy is being fulfilled today. People give various names to alcohol and drink it openly; some call it “refreshing syrup,” some call it “elixir of vitality,” and some call it “the drink of the righteous.” However, changing the name does not change the ruling; whatever causes intoxication is forbidden (haram), no matter what it is called. This includes bhang (cannabis), opium, chandu, beer, and so on.
