Hadith 2129

أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ، فَلَا يَقْعُدْ عَلَى مَائِدَةٍ يُشْرَبُ عَلَيْهَا الْخَمْرُ".
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day should not sit at a table on which wine is being drunk."
Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2128)
From this hadith, it is understood that whoever sits in a gathering where alcohol is consumed and major sins are committed, there is a deficiency in his faith; a true believer (mu’min sadiq) stays away from such actions and such gatherings.
O Qamar, stop going to the gatherings of Satan;
There will be a breach in religion, a deficiency will come in faith.
