باب في كَرَاهِيَةِ أَخْذِ الرَّأْيِ:Chapter: Dislike of Relying on Personal Opinion
Hadith 212
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ، وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: "إِنَّ أَفْضَلَ الْهَدْيِ هَدْيُ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَشَرَّ الْأُمُورِ مُحْدَثَاتُهَا، وَكُلَّ بِدْعَةٍ ضَلَالَةٌ".
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah Ansari (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon before us, praised and glorified Allah, then said: "The best way is the way of Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the worst matters are newly invented things (bid'ah), and every bid'ah is misguidance."
