Brief Explanation
(Explanation of Hadiths 2110 to 2112)
The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam certainly liked sweets and honey, just as he liked the meat of the foreleg, and when it was available, he would partake of it; if it was not available, he would not burden anyone. Sometimes, if he requested something, it was for the sake of seeking blessing and to benefit others.
Now, some people like to eat halwa (sweets) and the like, but trample upon other Sunnahs. It should be known that merely eating halwa and sweets is not the only Sunnah; adopting the noble character of the Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is also necessary.
