Hadith 2084

When Tharid was brought to Lady Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them), she would order that it be covered until its steam and heat subsided (i.e., until it cooled down), and she would say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say, "This (i.e., eating after cooling) is a cause of much blessing."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 2083)

From this narration, it is established that one should eat food after letting it cool down. The meaning of eating cooled food is not that it should be kept in the refrigerator and then eaten, rather, one should not eat food immediately after it has been taken off the stove, because there is a risk of harm in doing so and there is a report of lack of blessing. In Urdu, there is a well-known saying that one should eat after letting the food cool down, meaning that haste is not appropriate in eating or in any matter.
And Allah knows best.
