Brief Explanation
(Explanation of Hadiths 1925 to 1927)

From the aforementioned hadiths, it is established that standing at Arafat (wuquf-e-Arafah) and staying at Muzdalifah (mukuth-e-Muzdalifah) are important pillars of Hajj, and it is necessary to stay at these places even if only for a short period; otherwise, the Hajj will not be valid. The time for standing at Arafat is from after the sun passes its zenith (zawal) on the 9th day until sunset, and the time for staying at Muzdalifah is from after nightfall until morning. Now, if a person could not reach Arafat during the day but stood there for a short while at night and then joined the pilgrims at Muzdalifah and spent the night there, his Hajj is complete. Those serving the pilgrims of the House of Allah, as well as women, children, and the elderly, are permitted to depart from Muzdalifah after half the night has passed.
