أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَيْتَ هُوَ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، وَبِلَالٌ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ الْحَجَبِيُّ، فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid, Sayyiduna Bilal, and Sayyiduna Uthman bin Talhah Al-Hajabi (may Allah be pleased with them) entered the Ka'bah ...... and narrated the aforementioned hadith.
Brief Explanation

From these hadiths, entering the Ka'bah and performing prayer inside it is established. And inside the Ka'bah, after closing the door, one may face whichever direction one wishes and perform prayer. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) performed prayer between the two Yemeni pillars.
