Hafsa bint Abdur Rahman bin Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with them) narrated from her father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her father, Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him): "Seat your sister, that is, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), behind you and take her to perform ‘Umrah from Tan‘im. When she descends from the hills, tell her to enter into ihram, for surely this ‘Umrah will be accepted."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadiths 1898 to 1901)
From the ahadith of this chapter, it is understood that a pilgrim residing in Makkah must go outside the boundaries of the Haram for performing ‘umrah. For this, the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) himself performed ‘umrah from Ji‘ranah, and he instructed Sayyidah A’ishah (radi Allahu anha) to assume ihram from Tan‘im and perform ‘umrah. This ‘umrah, insha’Allah, will be valid. Performing ‘umrah is a source of goodness and blessing, but nowadays people frequently go to Tan‘im and perform multiple ‘umrahs, which is not correct. The esteemed scholars have declared this to be disliked (makruh). Pilgrims coming from distant places, if they perform ‘umrah while coming from Madinah, it is better; or if such an opportunity does not arise, then they may perform one ‘umrah from the aforementioned miqat. «(واللّٰه أعلم وعلمه أتم)».
