It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more virtuous than the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah." It was asked: "Not even Jihad has such virtue?" He replied: "Not even Jihad, except for a person who goes out putting his life and wealth in danger, and returns with nothing." (i.e., he sacrificed both his life and wealth).
