The servant of Sayyiduna Usama bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that he used to go with Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) to Wadi al-Qura, where he had livestock (such as camels, etc.), so he would fast on Mondays and Thursdays during the journey. His servant asked: Why do you fast on Mondays and Thursdays while traveling, even though you are elderly, have become weak, or have grown thin? Sayyiduna Usama (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) also used to fast on Mondays and Thursdays and would say: "People's deeds are presented (to Allah) on Mondays and Thursdays."

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadith 1787)
In this hadith, the presentation of deeds before Allah Ta'ala on Mondays and Thursdays is mentioned. It is possible that this refers to a weekly presentation. As for the angels who descend morning and evening and Allah Ta'ala asks them about the deeds of His servants, this is the daily presentation. Similarly, the mention of presentation in Sha'ban may refer to the annual presentation. And Allah knows best.
