باب النَّهْيِ عَنْ صَوْمِ الْمَرْأَةِ تَطَوُّعاً إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ زَوْجِهَا:Chapter: Prohibition of Voluntary Fasting by a Woman Without Husband’s Permission
Hadith 1758
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: "لَا تَصُومُ الْمَرْأَةُ يَوْمًا تَطَوُّعًا فِي غَيْرِ رَمَضَانَ، وَزَوْجُهَا شَاهِدٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ".
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman should not observe even a single voluntary fast, apart from Ramadan, in the presence of her husband without his permission."
