Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 1710 to 1712)
Imam Abu Dawud rahimahullah has narrated this hadith in detail. From this, it is understood that whoever embraces Islam, his wealth and his life become protected.
Sakhr captured a slave-girl, but the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam returned her to the original owner. He took possession of a water source, but the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also returned that to its rightful owner. This demonstrates the virtue of Islam and the sanctity and honor of a Muslim.
