باب في زَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ:Chapter: On Zakat al-Fitr
Hadith 1699
أَخْبَرَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: "فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ صَاعًا، مِنْ شَعِيرٍ عَلَى كُلِّ حُرٍّ وَعَبْدٍ، ذَكَرٍ أَوْ أُنْثَى، مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ" . قِيلَ لِأَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ: تَقُولُ بِهِ ؟ قَالَ: مَالِكٌ كَانَ يَقُولُ بِهِ.
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made the zakat of Fitr in Ramadan (Sadaqat al-Fitr) obligatory as one sa’ of dates or one sa’ of barley, upon every Muslim, free or slave, male or female. Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: Do you also say the same, meaning are you of the opinion of one sa’? He replied: Imam Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) was also of this opinion.
