Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrated a part of the previous hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadiths 1655 to 1657)

In these hadiths, there is a command to treat animals with mercy and a severe warning of punishment for not fulfilling their rights. Although zakat is not mentioned in the aforementioned hadiths, Imam Bukhari rahimahullah has also mentioned this hadith in the chapter of Zakat al-Baqar (Zakat on Cattle) in the same manner, and in the chapter "The Sin of One Who Withholds Zakat" (1402), the wording is: «إِذَا هُوَ لَمْ يُعْطِ فِيْهَا حَقَّهَا» but the explanation of what its right is has not been mentioned. However, in (2378), its right has been briefly mentioned as «أَنْ تَحْلِبَ عَلَى الْمَاءِ», and in the narration of Sahih Muslim, there is an explanation «لَا تُوَدِّيْ زَكَاتَهَا» from which it is established that among the rights of these animals is that when they reach the nisab (minimum threshold), their zakat must be given. Whoever does not do so, on the Day of Resurrection, these cattle will trample him with their hooves and gore him with their horns. Also, from this hadith, the establishment of the Day of Resurrection is proven, which will be equal to fifty thousand years.

«﴿فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ﴾ [المعارج : 4]» In some narrations, it is mentioned that one group of these animals will come, perform their task, and depart, and then another fresh group will come and carry out this task.

From these hadiths, it is also established that on the Day of Resurrection, sins will take on exemplary bodies and will appear in physical forms before people.
