باب في الاِسْتِمَاعِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ عِنْدَ الْخُطْبَةِ وَالإِنْصَاتِ:Chapter: Listening to the sermon and being silent on Friday
Hadith 1588
حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ: أَنْصِتْ، وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ" .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If you say to the person sitting next to you, 'Be quiet,' while the Imam is delivering the sermon, then you have engaged in idle talk."
