باب مَنْ هَابَ الْفُتْيَا وَكَرِهَ التَّنَطُّعَ وَالتَّبَدُّعَ:Chapter: Those Who Feared Giving Fatwa and Disliked Excessiveness and Innovation
Hadith 142
أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ بن جابر، أَخْبَرَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، قَالَ: "كَانُوا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُ عَلَى الطَّرِيقِ مَا كَانَ عَلَى الْأَثَرِ".
Imam Ibn Sirin, may Allah have mercy on him, said: People used to think that as long as a man acts upon the hadith, he is upon the straight path.
