It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When any of you prays, he should not sit as a camel sits, and he should place his hands on the ground before his knees." Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) was asked: What do you say about this (i.e., in prostration, should one place the hands first or the knees)? He replied: Both ways are correct, and he said that the people of Kufa prefer to place the knees first.

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Hadiths 1356 to 1358)
Imam Darimi rahimahullah, by mentioning both types of hadiths in this chapter, has clarified that both ways are correct: whether one places the hands first or the knees first when going into prostration (sajdah). Therefore, there should be no harshness or partisanship regarding this matter. In terms of chain of narration, this second narration is stronger than the first narration, and the position of the Ahl al-Hadith is the same as that of Imam Darimi rahimahullah.
