باب أَيُّ الصَّلاَةِ عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ أَثْقَلُ:Chapter: Which prayer is hardest for hypocrites
Hadith 1304
أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، قَالَ: صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الصُّبْحِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا بِوَجْهِهِ، فَقَالَ: "أَشَاهِدٌ فُلَانٌ؟ قَالُوا: لَا، فَقَالَ: أَشَاهِدٌ فُلَانٌ، فَقَالُوا: لَا، لِنَفَرٍ مِنْ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَمْ يَشْهَدُوا الصَّلَاةَ، فَقَالَ: "إِنَّ هَاتَيْنِ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ أَثْقَلُ الصَّلَاةِ عَلَى الْمُنَافِقِينَ، وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهِمَا لَأَتَوْهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا" . [إلى قوله عليه الصلاة والسلام ولو حبوا: إسناده صحيح] ¤ قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّد: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي بَصِيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أُبَيٍّ، عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَسَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ أُبَيٍّ .
Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Fajr prayer, then turned towards us and said: "Is such-and-such a person present?" The companions replied: No. Then he (peace be upon him) asked: "Is such-and-such a man present?" They replied: No. He mentioned the names of several hypocrites who were not present at the prayer (then) said: "These two prayers (Fajr and 'Isha) are very heavy upon the hypocrites, but if they knew the virtue (reward) of these two prayers, they would come to them even if they had to crawl." Imam Darimi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Abdullah bin Abi Basir said: My father narrated this hadith to me, and he narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard it from my father.
