It is narrated from Abu Bakr bin Abdur Rahman and Abu Salamah that both of them prayed behind Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him). When he went into bowing (ruku‘), he said «الله اكبر», and when he raised his head from bowing, he said «سمع الله لمن حمده», then he said: «ربنا ولك الحمد». Then, while going into prostration (sajdah), he said «الله اكبر», then when he raised his head from prostration, he said «الله اكبر», then when he stood up for the second rak‘ah, he said «الله اكبر». Then he said: "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, among you I am the one who most closely resembles the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in prayer. The prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was like this until he departed from this world."
