حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ نِسَاءَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، وَأُمَّهَاتِ أَوْلَادِهِ كُنَّ إِذَا اغْتَسَلْنَ لَمْ يَنْقُضْنَ عِقَصَهُنَّ مِنْ حَيْضٍ، وَلَا جَنَابَةٍ".
It is narrated from Nafi' (the freed slave of Ibn Umar) that the wives and slave girls of Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) would not undo their braids when performing the ritual bath (ghusl) after menstruation or major ritual impurity (janabah).
