أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو هِلَالٍ، حَدَّثَنِي شَيْبَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الرَّاسِبِيُّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ الرَّجُلِ يُضَاجِعُ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فِي لِحَافٍ وَاحِدٍ، فَقَالَ: "أَمَّا نَحْنُ آلَ عُمَرَ فَنَهْجُرُهُنَّ إِذَا كُنَّ حُيَّضًا".
Shaibah bin Hisham Rasabi said: I asked Salim bin Abdullah about a man who lies with his wife in a blanket while she is menstruating? (He said) We, the family of Umar, leave women alone during menstruation (i.e., we do not lie close to them).
