Hadith 1016

It is narrated from Mu'adhah (bint Abdullah) that a woman asked Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): Should any of us make up the prayers missed during her menstruation? Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) replied: Are you a Haruriyyah? We used to menstruate during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and we were not commanded to make up (the missed prayers).

Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 1011 to 1016)

Harur is the name of a village to which the Khawarij are attributed, who accept only the Qur'an as evidence and who rebelled against Sayyiduna Ali radi Allahu anhu. Since this issue is not mentioned in the Noble Qur'an, Sayyidah Aisha radi Allahu anha said to that woman: "Are you a Haruriyyah?"—meaning, are you one who denies the acceptance of hadith?
