Hadith 1006

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ ابْنِ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: "تَغْتَسِلُ".
Imam Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: That woman will perform ghusl (ritual bath).
Brief Explanation
(Commentary on Ahadith 998 to 1006)
These are the ijtihads (independent juristic reasoning) of the esteemed Imams. Most have said that a woman who experiences menstruation (hayd) after intercourse (jima‘) will perform the ritual bath of janabah (ghusl al-janabah).
